it's good that there are people who have realised the problems and are working to fix and prevent them. my grandparents had a farm that the drought took away, and it's good to know that other families may not have to experience it if diversity is re-introduced.

Excellent documentary which I only found due to insommia i.e. couldn't it play earlier in evening - good from an envirnomental aspect but also great culturally to show Australians that all Middle Easterns / Asiatics aren't frightening terrorists etc etc

Just watched a documentary on abc about the seed hunter,im amazed at the lack of backing and finances available for such a worthy cause.Good on you mate, typical of the ignorant planet which we live, most dont even stop and think how the food we all need is grown and prepared,it opened my eyes up,i love your work ken,i might be just a simple aussie,i wouldnt know the difference between an apple seed or a watermelon, but im smart enough to realize a good cause when i see one..

There are seed saving organizations in many countries, like Canada's Seeds of Diversity and the American Seed Savers Exchange, that work to preserve biodiversity at the grassroots level. We've lost many old varieties already, and it's up to the people to preserve what is remaining. I encourage all reading this to look into your own country's seed saving organization; it's a great place to start your journey in seed saving.

Hi, I had a dream of being in the future with Dr Street sitting proud with a candy dish that was made of ancient seeds, similar to a thick and chewy marzipan, but a variety of an ancient chick pea with higher carbs and sweet taste because of a very high amylase content.
Unique taste and vivid dream I had.
